If Supertramp were rewriting a logical song with James Taylor in a blue minivan while attempting to get to an early summer picnic at Roger Waters’ home where Andy Partridge was cooking up XTC-cakes and Belew-bear sausage with habanero pepper flakes, it would sound just like Anathallo’s daily offering of harmony, construction, and riff on rye.

That’s a lovely song.

Though I am more a fan of Anathallo’s prog-influenced stuff (i.e. the songs that eschew the pop music verse-chorus-verse-chorus structure) and their brass section. Here’s hoping those get some representation on the upcoming album.

Oh well, I’ve been looking forward to this album ever since I picked up Floating World two years ago. I’m sure it will be great.
