Hi. Please browse as I have browsed. Help yourself to what has helped me. I’d like to introduce you to the new highlight of your week: The Weekly Town Crier, where I pass on to you some of the things that caught my eye this past week. No poetry and/or music today. As I mentioned yesterday, my laptop is in the shop. That combined with a hectic week just didn’t leave time to prepare anything. That’s also why the Town Crier is a bit shorter this week. Keep on truckin‘.

I’m with you on Guiliani. In my roundup of debate #2, I categorized Rudy’s abortion comments as a total disaster for him. Now with McCain’s role in the immigration deal, look for him to take on water fast as well. I’ve got to think that Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson are the two positioned to take the nomination.
Also, I can’t belive that reviewer calling the new Wilco album boring! That album has catapulted me into their stuff this week, and I’m now a fan! I listened to the Son Volt album yesterday, and that one is going to take some time for me to appreciate.
I agree. I really don’t see McCain or Guliani receiving the nomination. Gingrich keeps sending test balloons but has yet to make a commitment. Thompson and Romney seem to be playing it a bit low-key while letting Guiliani and McCain demonstrate for themselves just how far they truly are from the conservative base.

I liked seeing what you have been listening to, although I am confused that it says you listened to Mozart at 5am tomorrow morning. How does that work?
Also, it looks like you have changed musical interests quite a bit since you were at Apollo HS. I remember when you wrote to your favorite band and offered to let them stay at your house if they’d but play in Phoenix. I want to say Nine Inch Nails, but I think that’s wrong. What was the name of that band?
Aha! It just came to me—-Ned’s Atomic Dustbin. Not very much NIN, except they both start with an N and have three words. That’s how my mind classifies things.
Ned’s Atomic Dustbin! Man, I haven’t thought about that band in a long time. There was them and the New Fast Automatic Daffodils that were sort of forerunners to Jesus Jones and some of the other British bands that made it a bit bigger. They never took me up on the offer. It’s probably for the better since I don’t think I actually ever cleared that one with my parents!
As for the time on the last.fm site, I’m not sure what that’s about but somehow my settings (it must be the time zone) are way off and it sometimes shows that I’m listening to music in the future which is neat, but obviously not accurate.
