I’ve Been Tagged!
I’ve recently been “tagged” by Amanda Ottaway of Imago Dei as part of the “Thinking Blog Awards” (more information can be found here) for my post on Christians and boycotts. I am humbled that my blog makes anyone besides myself think.
I typically don’t participate in these types of things, but I’m all for encouraging critical thinking and reading in the blogosphere, so I’ve made an exception this time. The idea is that once someone has “tagged” you, then you write a post featuring five blogs that make you think as well. Here is my list of “Five blogs that continually make me think” (in no particular order):
- Matthew Hall - Matt’s approach is usually to offer a small segment from an article of interest as well as some personal insights. Though he usually keeps things concise, he does so in a way that definitely promotes biblical thinking.
- Taylor Worley - Though Taylor doesn’t update often, when he does, it’s always something challenging (in a good way). His blog focuses on the relationship between the Gospel and art, something that really intrigues me.
- Scot McKnight - McKnight writes from a more “pro-emergenting” perspective than I typically function within which makes his insights both challenging and edifying. I always appreciate his thoughtful analysis and edifying stance to other viewpoints though I don’t always agree with his conclusions.
- Justin Taylor - Justin’s is what I consider a “resource” blog. He continually offers links to outside articles on a variety of issues. Though he rarely comments himself on this blog, his choice of links is to be greatly commended for encouraging Christians to think.
- Rod Dreher - The Crunchy Cons author continually offers challening thoughts on a wide variety of cultural and political issues.
I hope these blogs prove as stimulating to you as they have been for me.

Congratulations! Your blog, which always makes me think, deserves such honors. I discovered your blog some time ago while checking out my own website’s placement on Yahoo, and am glad that I did. I value your blog, and clearly sense that the purpose of your blog is Christo et Doctrinae, with the intent “to not wound another” for the sake of large readership.
