The Best of 2006: Introduction

January 4th, 2007 by Brent

As we begin each year, I like to look back on the past year. Year-end music and media lists abound, so that is no different. What I hope might be different here is that I continually want to encourage myself and you to understand everything you see and hear in light of the Gospel. It is with that in mind that I like to ask each year for your lists of the best that the year had to offer.

Most of this week will be dedicated to YOUR responses (after all, you were Time’s Person of the Year! Congratulations again!). Each day this week I will add one or two lists for you to browse. This is partly done just for practical reasons: if I try to include all of the responses in one post, the formatting gets overloaded and lost. But I also like the idea of being presented with one or two lists each day and being able to process them a bit. Above all, I’d like to encourage you to continue to strive towards filtering everything through the Gospel! Enjoy the lists, I know I have.
